Suspicious Approach

A Vessel was approached in the Bab El Mandeb by 2 skiffs with 12 persons on board, weapons were seen and the approach was aborted after the Armed Security Team showed weapons as part of their escalation process. 18-08-2015 Report; MV was approached by two skiffs to within 1 cable, the skiffs were blue and had ladders aboard. The skiffs separated, with one skiff carrying eight POB and three weapons heading towards the MV's for'd end. The second skiff headed astern of the MV at 2 cables and had four POB. The embarked Armed Security Team showed weapons causing the skiffs to abort the approach. NYA International Ltd
