UKMTO Weekly Report 9 - 15th January 2016

This week there have been reports of large numbers of small craft sighted at the eastern end of the Internationally Recommended Transit Corridor (IRTC).

Such sightings are consistent with regional fishing activity for the time of year. The chart shows the disposition of these reports. Fishermen’s actions can appear erratic as they follow shoals of fish, lay, recover and protect bouys/nets.
