During the month of January no significant
events were recorded.
There were some sightings of normal POL activity towards the eastern end of the IRTC as indicated in UKMTO’s weekly report 9 – 15 Jan 16.
The inclement weather has no doubt played a part in deterring small boat activity.
A reminder that vessels transiting the VRA and HRA are requested to report to UKMTO and register with MSCHOA. Timely and accurate reporting of all suspicious activity/sightings, piracy related or otherwise, will assist military authorities in formulating their response and assessments.
