Pirate Attack, offshore Niger Delta, Nigeria.
MT Sampitiki reporting via VHF that she has been attacked by pirates and hostages taken.
The pirates attacked 26th March at 00:40Hrs in position 04’20”N 005’10”E which is 30 miles from Bonga.
8 armed pirates remained onboard until 0430hrs when they left taking 5 hostages.
No other injuries, but equipment damaged.
