The MTISC-GOG has received a report, that 2 speedboats carrying armed pirates, chased and fired upon a tanker underway in pos: 03.42.0 N & 005.10.0 E at 15:00 UTC.
The attack was aborted due to presence of 7 Navy Personnel that were onboard the vessel and the implementation of anti-piracy measures.
The exchange of fire lasted for 20 minutes, and several bullets penetrated the cabins and alleyway.
A ladder was observed in the speedboats.
The crew mustered in the citadel, and no crew were harmed.
