Description: The Malaysian tug SERUDONG 3 (towing barge SERUDONG 4) was intercepted by gunmen in a speedboat.
Five Malaysian crew were kidnapped. It was later confirmed by Filipino and Malaysian sources that the Captain of the vessel has phoned his wife to relay Abu Sayyaf ransom demands of USD4.96m for the crew.
