MDAT GoG Weekly Report

Overview 1. Two incidents have been reported during this period. One successful theft of stores/cargo (in Apapa) and one attempted robbery (in Ponte Noire). Details on Page 2.

2. Additionally there has been a report of a suspect speed boat operating in the Akata Creek region. Advisory 001/Aug.

3. Ships/Masters are encouraged to report to MDAT-GoG any incident or suspect activity to allow us to rebroadcast mariners concerns to a wider community.

4. Masters and CSOs are reminded that scamming emails and phishing remains a threat in the GoG maritime area.
