CPH Post reports ‘After nine years of missions around the Horn of Africa, Danish ships are headed toward the Mediterranean’ (a)

whilst Maritime Command NATO report on the final flight made by the Royal Danish Air Force from the Seychelles in support of Op Ocean Shield (e),

the effectiveness of UN sanctions in tackling the illegal charcoal trade in Somali is discussed by Mareeg.com (b),

‘The News’ looks at the role and contribution being made by Pakistan’s Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre (JMICC) (c),

IMO’s Maritime Safety Committee, 97th session begins. On maritime security IMO notes ‘with concern recent reports on attacks on warships and the MV Galicia Spirit in the Bab El Mandeb’ and ‘both the MV Galicia Spirit incident and recent attempted piracy attack on the MV CPO Korea off the coast of Somalia are strong reminders of the need for diligent application of IMO guidance and best management practice, and for the presence of warships to protect shipping’ (d).
