Description: A general cargo vessel was chased and fired upon while underway by six persons armed with AK-47 and M-16 assault rifles in two speedboats.
The vessel sent a distress signal and local authorities dispatched patrol boats to the area.
The vessel sustained some damage but was not boarded. All crew reported safe.
