2. Description: On 19th April 2017 at 0900Z Merchant vessel was attacked in psn 032500N 0053600E (220°/40NM from Brass, Nigeria). A small craft with 8 POB fired on the MV. Armed security team fired upon pirates, attack aborted. Vessel’s transiting the area are advised to exercise extreme caution.
