1. Category: Boarding at QUA IBOE, NIGERIA

2. Description: On 12th of May 2017, at 20:00Hrs UTC in position 04°13N – 007°58E (QUA IBOE TERMINAL, EXXON oilfield, 10 nm North/West from OFON platform), an MV was approached by 2 speedboats with 6-8 POB who climbed on board. As they sighted the speedboats, the crew members raised the alarm and retreated to the Citadel for 2 hours. The attackers fled as a security vessel arrived in support of the MV. MV and crew SAFE.

MDAT-GOG investigating, more details to follow. Vessel’s transiting the area are advised to exercise extreme caution.
