Piracy and Armed Robbery Against Ships in Asia

OVERVIEW

During 20-26 Jun 17, one incident of piracy was reported to the ReCAAP ISC by ReCAAP Focal Point (Thailand). The incident involved the siphoning of oil cargo from chemical/oil product tanker, C.P.41 to the perpetrators’ ship. Investigation is ongoing. Incident of such nature was last reported to the ReCAAP ISC in October 2016. The location of the incident is shown in map below; and detailed description tabulated in attachment.
