Attack
16NM/180 from Port Harcourt, NIGERIA
At 06:52Z in position 04°07.00N – 007°00.00E, a merchant vessel was attacked by 1 skiff with 8 POB. The crew mustered in citadel. The pirates escaped, sailing towards a supposed mother vessel (fishing boat), prior to the arrival of a Nigerian navy security boat. All crew members are safe. Some damage has been reported on board. The merchant vessel proceeded to Onne port under escort.
