2. Description: On 02 October 2017 at 1815UTC, a Merchant vessel was attacked by 1 speed boat in psn 041736N 0070400E (around 5 NM south of Bonny Island, Nigeria). Armed security team on board the merchant vessel fired shots, the speed boat then escaped. Vessel and crew are SAFE. Mariners are advised to exercise caution in this area.
