Posn: 00:16.15S – 117:43.01E, Muara Berau Anchorage, Samarinda, Indonesia.
Ship's crew on board an anchored bulk carrier noticed robbers attempting to board the vessel via the anchor chain and informed the OOW who sounded the fog horn.
Seeing the alerted crew the robbers aborted the attempt and escaped in a small boat.
All crew safe.
