MDAT GoG - Vessel Attacked by 2 Speed Boats off Bonny Nigeria - Gulf of Guinea #marsec #piracy

2. Description: On 24 January 2018 at 0615UTC, a bulk carrier was attacked by 2 speed boats with 2/3 armed men in psn 0339N 00637.2E (40NM south of Bonny Fairway Buoy, Nigeria). The speed boats approached the ship on the star board beam and fired towards MV. Vessel increased speed and speed boats turned away. Vessel and crew are SAFE. Mariners are advised to exercise caution in this area.
