ATTACK

180°/50 NM from Bonny, NIGERIA

At 04:36ZHrs in position 03°37N - 007°07E, A sailing merchant vessel was attacked and boarded by 4 pirates. The crew, excepted the captain, mustered in the citadel. Nigerian Navy patrol closed to assist vessel, boarded her, but pirates had already left. The Master has been injured and the bridge has been trashed. MDAT-GoG comment: This event refers to Warning 001/APR/18 and its updates.
