Attempted Boarding

230°/70NM from Bonny, NIGERIA

At 1000Z on the 08th May 2018, an MV in PSN 03°37N – 006°16E (South of Port Harcourt) was approached by a skiff with 6 POB. They attempted to board the vessel with an aluminium ladder, but due to MV's evasive manoeuvres and razor wire they were unsuccessful and were forced to head back to port. MDAT-GoG comment: This event refers to Advisory 001/MAY/2018.

Note that the position given in the Advisory has been amended in the Advisory 001/MAY/2018 AMENDMENT
