This week UKMTO has issued no Advisories and no Warnings.
1. As fighting intensifies around the Yemen port of Hudaydah, the risk of spill over from the conflict into the maritime domain remains a threat. Ship’s masters and operators should remain vigilant while transiting the area and comply with the CMF guidance given for the use of the Maritime Security Transit Corridor (MSTC) (a).
2. CMF and EU NAVFOR issued Industry Releasable Threat Bulletin (IRTB) 009 detailing the latest incidents in and around port of Hudaydah. The IRTB can be viewed on the UKMTO website at www.ukmto.org Notices 2018.
3. The evolving threat to shipping from a cyber attack is highlighted in a media article released this week (b).
4. EU NAVFOR continues with its mission to provide protection for World Food Programme shipments in the region (c).
