Posn: 02:30.9S – 080:05.1W, Ecuador.
Three persons in a small skiff came alongside a container vessel underway.
The skiff was detected on the ships radar on the starboard side. One person attempted to board while another two persons showed handgun.
The crew spotted the attempted boarding and sounded the ships horn continuously. Upon hearing the alarm, the persons aborted the attempted boarding and moved away. Incident reported to Guayaquil Port Control and Ecuador Coast Guard..
