ROBBERY

23/03/2019

Takoradi Anchorage GHANA

On 23rd March 2019, at 0420UTC, at Takoradi anchorage, two AB's reported 4 persons on the aft deck armed with knives during routine security rounds. Once discovered, the robbers fled in a blue fishing canoe. A port patrol boat arrived on scene to assist the MV (NAME WITHHELD). Ship and Crew were reported safe.

THEFT

24/03/2019

Lagos SAA Anchorage, NIGERIA

On the 24th March 2019, at 2235UTC, at Lagos SAA Anchorage, a duty watchkeeper spotted two thieves carrying a pipe line used for stealing gasoil from within the MT's tank. Once spotted, the thieves fled. A patrol security boat coming to assist the MV(NAME WITHHELD) reported the arrest of the two thieves. Vessel and crew were reported safe.
