BONNY RIVER 0,6Nq North from Bonny town

On the 15th April at 2051UTC, a tanker was attacked around the position 04°28N – 007°10E by four armed pirates on a speed boat. Two of them managed to board the tanker and exchanged fire with embarked guards while the crew were mustered in citadel. The intruders fled and two security vessels in the vincinity responded to the incident. Crew and vessel are reported safe.

MDAT-GOG comment: This event was reported time late so neither an Advisory notice nor a Warning was released.
