1. (U) Scope Note
A. (U) No current incidents to report.
2. (U) Warnings and Advisories:
1. (U) The Worldwide Threat to Shipping (WTS) message provides information on threats to merchant vessels, the shipping industry, and other maritime stakeholders worldwide in the last 30 days. This report is produced primarily to inform merchant mariners and naval forces.
3. (U) Summary
A. (U) INDONESIA: On 28 May, two robbers boarded a bulk carrier anchored at D6 Berth, Cigading Port.
B. (U) SPAIN: On 27 May, a joint operation of Spanish and Italian police resulted in the confiscation of 5 tons of cocaine at the Port of Barcelona.
C. (U) MOROCCO: On 27 May, Navy operations patrolling Moroccan territorial waters led to the rescue of 249 migrants in a 24-hour period.
D. (U) MOZAMBIQUE: On 26 May, robbers boarded a cargo ship anchored in Nacala Inner Anchorage.
E. (U) MALTA: On 25 May, the Maltese armed forces rescued 216 migrants from two dinghies in the Mediterranean Sea.
F. (U) GRENADA: On 24 May, an in-the-water but not locked dinghy was stolen from a yacht in Mt. Hartman Bay.
G. (U) GRENADA: On 24 May, an unoccupied but locked catamaran was boarded overnight in Mt. Hartman Bay.
H. (U) LIBYA: On 24 May, the coast guard rescued 290 migrants in two operations near the capital Tripoli.
I. (U) VIETNAM: On 24 May, authorities seized 5.26 tons of pangolin scales at Cai Mep Port.
J. (U) INDONESIA: On 23 May, seven persons armed with knives boarded an anchored bulk carrier in Taboneo Anchorage.
K. (U) INDONESIA: On 22 May, a person in a fishing boat approached an anchored sailing vessel 0.18 nm southeast of Pulau Doom, Sorong.
L. (U) ROMANIA: On 21 May, At least three fishermen from Turkey's northern Ordu province were injured when their boat was attacked as they were sailing in international waters off Romania.
