1. UKMTO has issued no Advisories and no Warnings this week.

2. Tensions in the Gulf dominate the regional press this week with a number of media articles reporting on initiatives to assist and offer guidance to commercial shipping transiting the Northern Gulf of Oman and the Strait of Hormuz (see media articles).

3. The U.S Maritime Administration issued two Maritime Alerts this week, U.S. Maritime Advisories 2019-007 and 2019-008 can be view at: www.marad.dot.gov/MSCI

4. A photograph of the four Iranian crew members from MV Siraj held hostage in Somalia since 2015, was released recently. The photo was kindly provided by the Hostage Support Programme (see page 3).

5. Cdre Dean Barrett RN superseded Cdre Steve Dainton RN this week to become the new Deputy Commander Combined Maritime Forces (DCCMF) and United Kingdom Maritime Component Commander (CUKMCC).
