1. UKMTO has issued one Advisory and no Warnings this week (see page 3).
2. Guidance to the commercial shipping industry regarding the use of Privately Contracted Armed Security Personnel (PCASP) in the Arabian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz and Gulf of Oman was released this week, the press release can be viewed on the OCIMF website at: https://bit.ly/2JtPwWm
3. The U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD) released Maritime Advisory 2019-009. The Advisory informs the commercial shipping industry of a new type of U.S. Maritime Alert. The Advisory can be viewed at: https://bit.ly/30rMPwe
4. A number of reports in the media report on risk surcharges being applied to cargoes transiting the Gulf region during the heightened state of tension between the U.S. and Iran ( see article d and e)
