Two events have been reported to MDAT-GoG this week.

BOARDING

08/07/2019

302/22NM off Victoria, CAMEROON

On the 08th July at 1915UTC, a FV (NAME WITHHELD) was attacked at Bibundi Bay (position: 04°12.5N008°53.4E) inside the Cameroon TTW . Vessel and crew were escorted by a Navy patrol boat to Bota harbour via Limbe. Investigations are still ongoing.

THEFT

315/15NM off Pointe Noire, REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO

On the 07th July at 0330UTC, an MV (NAME WITHHELD) was boarded by two unarmed persons while at PointeNoire anchorage (04°44S - 011°47E). They stole two ropes and fled in a white skiff. Vessel and crew were reported safe.
