One event has been reported to MDAT-GoG this week.

HIJACK

13/07/2019 233 /108NM off Brass Terminal (Nigeria)

On the 13th July at 2250UTC, an MV (NAME WITHHELD) was attacked by one skiff with 6 armed POB in position 02°58N - 004°40E. They boarded the MV (NAME WITHHELD) and damaged all the navigational and communication equipements.

After the leaving of the pirates, the crew managed to take back the MV(NAME WITHHELD) to Tema Anchorage where it has been talen over by the Ghana Navy.

Investigation are still ongoing.
