Highlights

• PIRACY / ROBBERY : 5 attempted actions including 4 out of the past week. An event was held underway on a chemical tanker in the Singapore Strait, the other 4 were held at berth / anchorage as follows :

• Tanker, anchored, Batangas (Philippines);

• Tanker, anchored, Belawan (Indonesia);

• Chemicals, berthed, Belawan, Indonesia;

• Tanker, anchored, Dumai (Indonesia).

The most endangered areas in the coming months remain Dumai, Belawan, Cilacap, Merak, Batangas and the Singapore Strait, particularly off Batu Ampar, Tanjung Piai, the anchorage area north of Tanjung Berakit and the Philip Channel area.

• MARITIME TERRORSIM : No event reported the last week. The curfew of ESSCOM (Sabah authorities) in the Sulawesi / Sulu Seas is extended until 22 November : http://www.dailyexpress.com.my/news/142927/curfew-in-esszone-extended/.
