1. This week UKMTO issued no advisories or warnings.

2. The UN Security Council published its latest report on the situation with respect to piracy and armed robbery at sea off the coast of Somalia. The report covers the period from 1 Oct 18 – 31 Oct 19 (see article a).

3. On 7 Nov 19, the UK Department for Transport (DfT) released Security Notification 2019/30 to Red Ensign Group (REG) shipping with new guidance for the Strait of Hormuz. All REG ship’s CSO should ensure that they are fully aware of the latest Flag State guidance and that it is communicated in a timely manner to ship’s masters.

4. The final Agenda is available for the UKMTO Maritime Information Exchange Vessel Operators’ Meeting (MIEVOM) to be held in the Dubai International Seafarers’ Center (DISC) on Thursday 28 November 2019.
