Highlights:
PIRACY / ROBBERY:
Two Sea Theft / Sea Robbery events have been reported in the South of the Strait of Singapore, on ships underway (a Malaysian-flagged barge and a Marshall Islands-flagged bulk carrier) - crew is safe;
Two more events have taken place in the Strait of Singapore since the publication of this weekly report and will be broadcast in the the next Daily Brief (Monday 02/12):
Sea Theft on a Marshall Islands-flagged bulk carrier, north of Bintan, Indonesia (KMAX EVDOKIA);
Attempted action on a Chinese-flagged bulk carrier northwest of Batam, Indonesia (CHINA PIONEER);
Total of 36 events in the Singapore Strait this year, nearly half of all events reported in the IFC area of responsibility;
MARITIME TERRORISM: no event has been reported. The curfew of ESSCOM (Sabah authorities) in the Sulawesi / Sulu Seas is extended until 7 December;
