Boarding

180/80NM South of Bonny, NIGERIA

On the 03rd December 2019 at 1820UTC, in position 03°05.5N – 007°06.8E, an MT (NAME WITHHELD) has been boarded by 10 armed pirates.

The MT (NAME WITHHELD) is currently being escorted by a security vessel. MDAT-GoG comment: This event refers to Advisory 001/DEC/19 and is a TIME LATE REPORT.

Suspicious Approach

30/11/19

114/14NM off Cotonou, BENIN

On the 30th November 2019 at 1440UTC, in position 06°15'06N-002°38'54E, an MV (NAME WITHHELD) was approached by one skiff with 5 POB. After evaluating the ship's hardening measures and following the MV (NAME WITHHELD), they left the vicinity of the MV( NAME WITHHELD). MV and crew were reported safe. MDAT-GoG comment: This event is a TIME LATE REPORT.
