Highlights:

  • PIRACY / ROBBERY:

  • 2 piracy events reported during the previous week (December 3 and 6 respectively), both in the Singapore Strait:

  • 1 attempted robbery on a tug on December 3;

  • 1 sea theft aboard a barge on December 6;

  • Total of 83 events in the IFC area of ​​responsibility since January 1, 2019 (compared to 149 in 2016, 119 in 2017 and 99 in 2018), despite a significant increase in events in the Singapore Strait (20 in 2017, 21 in 2018).

  • MARITIME TERRORISM: no event reported.
