Vessel Attacked 110 NM south of Cotonou (Benin) - Crew Kidnapped

Dryad Update:
Reporting indicates that the Marshall Islands-flagged MT Duke has been attacked whilst sailing from Luanda, Angola to Lome, Togo deep offshore. Reporting indicates that the vessel was boarded by 6 pirates while underway resulting in the kidnap of all but one member.
It has since been confirmed that 20 Indian crew members have been kidnapped. The one individual believed to have been left aboard is understood to be a Nigerian national.

2. Description: On 15th of December 2019 approximately, 0800 UTC an MV was attacked in position 0423 N – 00203E, approximately 110 NM south of Cotonou (Benin).
Vessels are advised to exercise extreme caution in this area.
