HIJACKING

16/12/19

190/120NM off, Cotonou BENIN

On the 15th December at 0800UTC, an MT (NAME WITHHELD) was attacked by pirates in position 04°23'35N - 002°04'08E. A Togolese Navy Ship was dispatched later to assist and secure the MT (NAME WITHHELD). MDAT-GoG comment: This event refers to ADVISORY 002/DEC/19.

THEFT

17/12/19

285/4.6NM off Pointe Noire, REPUBLIC CONGO

On the 17th December at 0230UTC, an MV (NAME WITHHELD) was boarded by one unarmed person while at Pointe Noire anchorage (04°46S – 011°47E). He fled on a skiff manned by an another person. Vessel and crew were reported safe. MDAT-GoG comment: Nil

IRREGULAR ACTIVITY

19/12/19

245/212NM off Bonny, NIGERIA

On the 19th December at 0930UTC, an MV (NAME WITHHELD) reported a suspicious vessel towing a speed boat in position 03°00N – 003°53E. Vessel and crew were reported safe. MDAT-GoG comment:This event refers to ADVISORY 003/DEC/19.
