Remarks:
Reporting indicates that whilst underway the landing craft MV LAETITIA was approached by an unknown supply vessel without AIS and navigation light. The MV LAETITIA is understood to have adjusted her course and speed to establish hostile intent and conducted evasive manoeuvres.
The unknown vessel is understood to have been in the vicinity of the MV LAETITIA for an hr before the threat reduced.
All vessels should continue to observe heightened awareness and take appropriate mitigation.

MDAT GoG Report: IRREGULAR ACTIVITY
16/06/2020 170/100NM off Port Gentil, GABON
On the 16th June at 1920UTC, a MV (NAME WITHHELD) reported to relevant authorities, that she was followed for two hours by a vessel with no AIS transmitting and no navigation lights visable. When the MV arrived at an oil platform, the suspicious vessel abandonned the pursuit. Vessel and crew reported safe.
