On 17th MAY 2020 at approximately 1230UTC an MV was attacked in position 1343N 05037.4E. Vessels transiting the area are advised to exercise extreme caution.

Dryad Update:
UKMTO has reported that a vessel has been attacked in the GoA IRTC westbound transit corridor at position 13° 43N 050° 37.4E
Additional unconfirmed reporting has indicated that the vessel may be the UK Flagged product tanker STOLT APAL.
Latest information on this vessel is that she is proceeding at 13kts. Further unconfirmed reporting suggests that there was an exchange of fire between the embarked AST and the skiff.
The CPA is understood to be approximately 800m as such vessel intent remains unclear. No further details known.
